Synacor, a leading technology company providing Internet solutions to the ISP, advertising and media industries, announced that former Yahoo and Oracle executive C.J. Singh has joined the company as Vice President of Product and Engineering.

Singh, who will be responsible for creating and executing roadmaps for Synacor's platform and media solutions, joins the company after three years as director of engineering and product development with Yahoo, where he was responsible for the company's development centers in Latin America.

"Building a successful business is all about really great products, fast time to market and excellent customer service," said Tim Peterman, COO of Synacor. "C.J. absolutely gets that. He has demonstrated the vision and the expertise that will contribute immediately to our efforts in helping our ISP, advertising and media customers engage consumers and generate revenues."

Previously, Singh served four years as senior principal engineer with Oracle, where he architected and developed innovative products and researched new technologies for Oracle's E-Business Suite.

Singh began his career in 1997 as a team leader for HCL Perot Systems in his native India. From 1999-2001, he served as project lead for Interra IT. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science degree from Gulbarga University in India, and earned a Masters in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
