Democrats senator BRIAN GREIG has been reprimanded by Senate president MARGARET REIDfor urging gay law reform supporters to send an avalanche of mail to a group opposingreforms.
In December Senator GREIG sent an email from his official parliamentary address incitinggay activists to send packages to the Australian Family Association.
The AFA subsequently received huge volumes of unsolicited mail, including packagesstuffed with toilet paper and copies of Hansard.
AFA Western Australian president JOHN BARICH says he's received a letter from Ms REIDadvising him Mr GREIG has been reprimanded over the incident.
The letter says Mr GREIG has been told the use of parliamentary facilities for suchan act was inappropriate.
Mr BARICH says the incident is an example of the increasingly desperate measures thegay lobby is resorting to in order to silence its critics.
